In a collaborative effort, the research groups of Prof. Nina Khanna (DBM) and Prof. Martin Fussenegger (D-BSSE, ETHZ) have developed immunomimetic designer cells that protect mice from infection with MRSA.
Their study, which was recently published in Cell, prepares the ground for novel treatment strategies against multi drug resistant bacterial infections in human.
