International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Now more than ever, we need to keep working to build a fairer world.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated every year on 11 February since 2015. It is an important date for the international scientific community and an opportunity to remind us that further efforts are needed to ensure gender equality and empower women and girls.

Of course, it is not a question of efforts for just one day. Everyone can take responsibility and change something every day and in all areas. At the DBM, 53.79% of the employed members of the personnel are women, and we have many talented, inquisitive women engaged in high-impact research.

We will continue to cultivate a pleasant and inclusive work environment where everyone is treated with equal respect. And we will continue to support and strengthen each other.

Please join us in celebrating all past, present and future Women and Girls in Science. We are so proud of all our incredible #DBMWomenInScience.

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
