At the 25th Annual Meeting of the European Hematology Association (EHA), the Grimwade Award will be presented to Prof. Radek Skoda, Head of Experimental Hematology and Head of DBM, for his work in the field of myeloproliferative neoplasias. We congratulate Prof. Skoda for this highly prestigious award. Prof. Skoda's research interest focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasias (MPN). His major contributions include the description of the JAK2-V617F mutation in patients with MPN, the analysis of factors contributing to the clonal evolution of MPN, and the discovery of mutations in the TPO gene in familial thrombocytosis and in the EPO gene in familial erythrocytosis.

The title of his presentation for the David Grimwade Prize of the EHA is "Clonal Evolution of Myeloproliferative Neoplasias”. The Grimwade Prize honours leading and active basic and translational researchers in the field of haematology.
