The European Research Council has awarded Jan Gründemann an ERC starting grant.
For his research project “Deep brain imaging of cellular mechanisms of sensory processing and learning” the DBM research group leader and SNSF Professor will receive approx. 1.5 million Euro over the next five years. Jan Gründemann's lab aims to identify the cellular processes that are subject to experience- and learning-dependent changes at the neural network level - with a focus on the in vivo analysis of cellular plasticity in the entry and exit pathways of nerve cells.
