Welcome to the team - Mattia Zampieri Lab!
Professor Mattia Zampieri is leading the laboratory for Systems Pharmacology and Biology of Metabolism in the Department of Biomedicine at the University of Basel. His lab is developing new experimental and computational technologies to find out how metabolism in bacteria and human cells work, how is regulated, and how can be controlled. His team is applying these technologies to investigate how metabolism mediates adaptation of bacterial and cancer cells to chemical and genetic stimuli to find fundamental vulnerabilities and drugs that can take advantage of such vulnerabilities.
