Titular professorship for Prof. Dr. Magdalena Filipowicz Sinnreich
The University Council of the University of Basel has approved the appointment of Magdalena Filipowicz Sinnreich as Titular Professor of Experimental Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Magdalena Filipowicz Sinnreich has been a research group leader at the Department of Biomedicine since 2017. Her research focuses on immune mechanisms in viral liver diseases and fatty liver disease. In the latter, she is particularly interested in the close interaction between gut bacteria and the liver. The titular professorship is a great recognition of Prof. Dr. Magdalena Filipowicz Sinnreich's academic achievements and expertise.
