Research Platform Molecular and Cognitive Neurosciences (MCN)
The Research Platform Molecular and Cognitive Neurosciences (MCN) of the University of Basel is a hub for neuroscience-oriented psychiatric research. MCN focuses on the molecular, neurobiological and neural underpinnings of human emotional and cognitive processes and the development of novel treatment options for neuropsychiatric disorders.
MCN is affiliated with the Departement Biomedicine (DBM), Faculty of Medicine, and the Psychiatric University Clinics. Members of MCN have backgrounds in various disciplines, including psychiatry, biology, genetics, psychology, mathematics, and engineering.
