Sascha did her PhD at the DBM in the Kaufmann lab (Cardiovascular Molecular Imaging), developing a VCAM-1–targeted ultrasound contrast agent using designed ankyrin repeat proteins (DARPins) as targeting ligands for molecular imaging of atherosclerosis. She now works in Market Access at Mepha / Teva Switzerland, where the questions shift from how a molecule works to how a medicine gets priced, reimbursed and into the hands of patients. She will share her path from the DBM bench to market access in pharma, what a day in her role actually looks like, and her perspective on building a career from a strong scientific foundation.
