Romain did his PhD at the FMI and DBM in the Bentires-Alj lab, working on SHP2 and PI3K signaling in triple-negative breast cancer. He now leads a team of Clinical Biospecimen Scientists at Novartis, shaping how patient samples drive safety, PK, biomarker and companion diagnostic decisions across clinical trials. He will share his path from the DBM bench to the clinical side of pharma, what a day in his role actually looks like, and his perspective on building a career from a strong scientific foundation.
