The Flow Cytometry Core Facility is a state-of-the-art scientific platform offering DBM researchers instrumentation and technical and scientific expertise, facilitating the successful application of a great variety of current flow cytometry techniques.
Our team of six specialists with more than 50 years of combined flow cytometry and research experience delivers training in instrument operation, operator-performed cell sorting procedures, advice with experimental design and assistance with data analysis.
The DBM Flow Core consists of two sites. At Hebelstrasse 20, the researchers, after training, have 24/7 access to three BC CytoFLEX, three BD Fortessas, Three Cytek Auroras (high-end spectral analysers), an imaging cytometer (AMNIS® ImageStreamX Mk II), a mass and imaging mass cytometer ( Standard biotools CyTOF XT/Xti ), a nanoparticle analyser (nanoFCM) and user-run cell sorter BD FACSMelody™, BC CytoFLEX SRT and BD FACSAria™.
Specialist-assisted sorting is performed on one BD FACSAria™ sorter, one full spectral and image sorter BD S8 and one full spectral Cytek Aurora CS sorter.
At Mattenstrasse, we offer specialist-assisted sorting on one BD FACSAria™III and and one full spectral Cytek Aurora CS sorter. And self-use analysers: two BC CytoFLEX, two Cytek® Aurora and one BD Fortessa.
